[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AROHA. Wednesday. The attendance at the annual bail of the Piako Rugby Union was a record. The Poland Cup. won by the Piako senior teaiu. was presented to the winners by Mr. H. Poland. M.P. Other trophies were also presented, including caps for the members of the senior representative team, donated by Mr. C. Morrison the presentation being triado by the president of the union, Mr. W. C. Kennedy. Dr. W. R. Lawrence, president of the Thames Valley Rugby Union, was presented with a solid leather suitcase, aa a token of appreciation of hia interest in football during the past season. &bout £BB was taken. It was decided to donate £3O 'o the Thames Valley Union for the purpose of sending a representative team on tour next season. THE CHRISTCHURCH UNION. A PROFITABLE SEASON. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. After making generous provision for furthering and controlling the game of Rugby football in Christchurch this season shows a profit of about £I4OO, stated Mr. A. Dey, chairman, at a meeting of the Management Committee of the union. The committee decided to transfer £IOOO to the grounds trustees who control a fund intended eventually to be applied to the purchase of a ground,
