QUEENSLAND V. AUCKLAND. THE MATCH ON SATURDAY. CHANCES IN PROVINCIAL TEAM. The team selected to represent Vhe Auckland Province against Queensland at Carlaw Park on Saturday has been altered, owing to three of the backs—-Wetherall, .Kirwan and Gregory—not being available. Their places have been taken by Riley, Gardiner and the Waikato piaye.', S. Ray nor. All players selected must attend Park this evening, when training operafews will .be under the control of Mr. A. MfClymont. THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. ' SPORTS GROUND AT NEW LYNN. The management committee of the Auckland Rugby Le&gnie met last evening, the chairman, Mr. W. J. Hammill, presiding. The New Lynn Club wrote asking for assistance in the purchase of a sports ground already acquired in the New Lynn district. It was decided to make a grant toward the fund. Mr. Hammill neported that the lease of the present committee rooms was about to expire and that arrangements have been made to lease a suite of rooms in the Grey Buildings. The application for the transfer of W. Ghent from Marist Old Boys to City was approved. The following arrangements have beevp made jfor junior club and house matches on. Satu relay:— Second Grade.—Richmond v. Ponsonb.y, Carlaw Park No. 2, 1.45 p.m., Mr. Chirneide. Fourth Grade.—Richmond v. Athletic, Carlaw Park No. 1, 1.45 p.m., Mr. McKubrey. Fifth Grade—City v. Parnell, Carlaw Park, ISV3O p.m., Mr. Inness. House Matches.—New Zealand Herald v. Abel Dyfke's, Parnell, 2 A.m., Mr, Simpson; Railway Workshops. Parnell, 3 p.m., Mr. Smith. |
