MURDER OF A FASCIST.

TRAGEDY IN FLORENCE. CRIME SWIFTLY AVENGED. ASSASSIN DIES OF HIS WOUNDS. ANTI-MASONIC AGITATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received 8.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 6. The Rome correspondent of tho Daily Telegraph furnishes details of the murder of tho Fascist leader, Sign or Luporini, at Florence. Incidentally he says rioting occurred there, owing to an anti-Masonic agitation by the Fascist!. The correspondent states that Signor Bandinelli, a well-known Freemason, was called to a Fascist Club to give an explanation of his conduct. Signor Luporini, with a party of Fascisti, motored to Bandinelli's flat to enforce the request, but Bandinelli refused to go, knowing that it was a practice of the Fascisti to invite their opponents to their headquarters where they would administer " physical correction." A neighbour,' named Bocciolini, heard Bandinelli's refusal and intervened. He apparently wounded two of the Fascisti with a revolver, including Luporini. Thereupon Bandinelli and Bocciolini fled. Bandinelli is still in hiding, but the Fascisti found Bocciolini hiding behind a chimney on the roof. They dragged him down to the street, where seven bullets were fired into his body. He subsequently died. Another man, Consolo, who was sffiously hurt in the fracas, is also dead. After the shooting the Fascisti wrecked several flats and loot-ed a number of shops. Complete order and tranquility now prevail as a result of police measures. RIOTERS IN ROME. THREE COMBATANTS DEAD. FIERCE FACTION CONFLICT. (Received 12.25 a.m.) Sun. ROME, Oct. 5. Three persons were killed and one was seriously injured as a result of a fierce outbreak among antagonistic Fascist and Socialist forces. The rioters entered the conflict armed with clubs. They wrecked some shops and offices.
