JERSEY COW'S RECORD.
A NOTABLE PERFORMANCE. [by tei,e<;raph.—ctiess association ] PALMERSTON NORTH. Monday. A record for the British Empire has been established by the Jersey cow, Holly o%k Annie, owned by Mr. W. T. Williams, of Te Auto, Pukehon. In 65 days as a five-year-old tho cow has produced 10571b. of butter-fat. The cow was bred by Mr. >7. Hale, of New Plymouth, and sold in April, 1024, by H. 11, Sutton and Company to tho present owner for 350 guineas. Other .jerseys which have produced over 10001b. of butter-fat. in New Zealand are:—Vivaodiere (1030) and Prct.ty's Flirt (lOlO).
