THE PUKEKOH E CLUB. |HX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] PUKEKOHE, Monday. The annual meeting of the Pukekohe Cricket Club was held last week, Mr. J, F. Deane presiding. The balance-sheet showed a surplus of £1 7s lid, which the chairman intimated was satisfactory. He stated that while last season had been very successful he anticipated a greater success in the coming season. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. W. Roulston; president, Mr. James Roulston, senr.; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. F. Brown, F. Perkins, W. T. Dazeley, T. F. Hodges, C. K. Lnwrie, J. Routly, G. T. Parvm, R. F. Wilkinson, R. Farrell, H. H. O'Loughlen, H. J. Sumner, E. W. Pools and J. P. Rae, Dr, Begg, Dr. Wake, and Dr. McSweeney; Management Committee, Messrs. Hall, Fox, C. Moffitt, and J. Bonner; secretary, Mr. Bonner; treasurer, Mr, Deane; delegates to Franklin Cricket Association, Messrs. Bonner and Moffitt. A bat for the highest individual score by Pukekoha, or High School batsmen in the Warin Cup competition this season was presented by Mr. R. Schlaepfer. Mr. Moffitt offered a bat for the best bowling average. Thanks were accorded Mrs. Dix for assistance with the afternoon tea last season. MORRINSVILLE DISTRICT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MORRINSVILLE. Monday. Prospects for cricket uppear to be much irighter in this district than they have een for some years. Late last season it was decided to form an association, which would be divided into two sections, with four teams apiece, the winners of each sec ion to play off. It is expected that there ill be nine teams this season divided as follows :—Morrinsville, Waitaa, Te Aroha, nd Paeroa, in one section; Gordon, Manawaru, Matamata, Waharoa and Wardville i the other section. Morrinsville has recently laid down a new wicket in the Recreation Ground and it should be in good condition for the .-season.
