WAITEMAT A LADIES' CLU3. A foursomes match will be played by the Waitemata Ladies* Golf, Club next Thursday. The medal competition postponed from last week on account of wet weather will be played by members of the Glendowie Ladies Golf* Club to-morrow. The flag match was won by Mrs. Hill, who carried the flag to the 17th green. The annual meeting of the club will be held in the clubhouse at 1 o'clock next Saturday. PAPAKUkA CLUB. A medal handicap was played by members of the Papakura Golf Club on Saturdav- Following were the best cards: Elliott, 96-13, 83; Rice, 113—30, 83; Beechey, 113—30, 83; Pavitt, 105-20, 85; Williamson, 104—18, 86; O'Neill, 106—20, 86. It is probable the club will conclude its fiiason with mixed foursomes ok October 17. PUKEKOHE CLUB. Members of the Puke'iohe Golf Club played the final match of the season on Saturday between teams representing married and single. In the men's match the result was a draw, each team having four wins and four losses. The single ladies won their division easily by five games to one. Detailed results are , as follow, married players being mentioned first: — Men.—Johns lost to Brosnahan, 4 down and 2 to play; Lally beat Friedlander, 4 up and <5; O'Loughlin lost to G. A fierce wind was experienced all the afternoon, accompanied by heavy downpours of rain. The concluding round of the Caldwell CW was plaved, resulting in a will for \. J. Cornaga by the narrow margin of one stroke. In the first round W. Robinson led the field with 75. He again did a good round of 78, to tie for second place with J. T. Entwisle. The following were the best cards returned: —V. J. Cornaga, 77, 75—152; W. Robinson, 75, 78—153; J. T. Entwisle, 80, 73 —153; N. Sutherland, 80, 78—158. The qualifying rounds for the club championships were also played on Saturday. Considering the weather the leading scores were good. The best eight play off for the senior event and the next best eight for the junior event. A. H. Nicoll, last year's champion, returned the best card, 86. The Povertv Bay golf championship was won by P. Egan, of the Post and Telegraph staff, who defeated E. Adair 5 up and 4 to play. Miss P. O'Meara won the ladies championship, and her sister, Miss J. O'Meara, the Walsh Cup.
