THE NORTHERN UNION CUP.
SOUTH AUCKLAND CHALLENGE. LOCAL TEAM SELECTED. The Auckland Rugby League representatives will defend the Northern Union Challenge Cup against South Auckland at Carlaw Park on Saturday. Several of the beat local players are not available owing to iniuries. The Auckland selectors, Messrs. E. Pox, E. Asher and R. McDonald, have chosen the following team:— Fullback.—Gregory. Threequarters.—List. B. Davidson, L. Brown. Five-eighths.—lt. Cole, S. Riley. Halfback.—Webb'. Forwards.—Singe, St. George, O'Brien (North Shoreh Dixon, Bass, Avery. Reserves. —Herring, Douglas, Poison, Kirkland. Littlewood. Any players not available must notify Mr. Asher immediately. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. THE DRAW FOR SATURDAY. The Management Committee of tho Auckland Rugby League met last evening, tho chairman. Mr. W, J. Haramill, presiding. The Referees' Association wrote asking for rulings on several matters relating tb players being sabstituted during the progress of a match, After considerable discussion the points were referred to the New Zealand Council. Following are the arrangements for Saturday's matches:— Auckland v. South Auckland, Carlaw Park No. 1, 2.45 p.m., Mr. Mincbam. Second Grade.—Devonport v. Richmond, Carlaw Park No. 2, 3 p.m., Mr, McCowatt: Ponsonby B v. Kingsland, Outer Domain, 3 p.m., Mr. Coulani. Third Grade.—City v. Ponsonby B, Devonport, 3 p.m., Mr. Chernside; Takapuna v. Athletic. Takapuna. 2.30 p.m. Fourth Grade.—Athletic v. Ponsonby, Parnell, 2 p.m., Mr. Eailey; Devonport. v. Parnell. Devonport, 2 p.m.. Mr. Chernside: Ellerslio v. SOUTH AUCKLAND EXECUTIVE —— - The management committee of the South Auckland Football Association met on Tuesday, Mr. J. A. Clark presiding. The Lower Waikato sub-association advised that it would not know its Howden I Cpp section winner until next Saturday, wnen Pukemiro and Huntly woulcl play off the tie. Challenges for the Ansell Challenge Cup were received. The Rotowaro Club was successful in the draw for the next match against Fiankton Railways, the holders, at Seddoji Park on Saturday. . Waihi were declared the Goldlields district Howden .Cup winners and will meet the winner of tho Lo.wer Waikato section and Frankton Railways on a date to be arranged, at Hamilton The draw for the South Auckland championship final games was drawn and resulted:—Lower Waikato Association winners v. Hamilton Wanderers, at Huntly; Thames, a bye, to play tho winners of the first-men-tioned game at Hamilton. Mr Geo. Shand was selected to referee the Ansell Cup game, Messrs, Cox and Forster being appointed linesmen. Y.MC.A. BOYS' LEAGUE. Arrangements for Y.M.C.A. Boys' League Association football matches to be played on Saturday are as, follow: . Celts v. Rivals.-rJunior championship: No 1 1 p.m., Mr. R. C. Robinßon; Fourth A v.
