THE UNITED SUBURBS CLUB. The annual meeting of the United Suburbs Crickei Club, was held on Tuesday evening. Mr. A. Aiken presiding. \ The report recorded a successful season in which the senior team won the grade championship in the Suburban Association's competition, .in its first year. The following officers were elected:— Pitroti.'the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon; president. Mr. E. K. Davis: vice-presidents. reelected: chairman, Mr. A. Aiken: honorary secretary and treasurer. Mr. W, H. The annual report recorded a successful season, the club having won, the Franklin Cricket Association's competition for the Warm Cup. The following officers were elected:— President. Mr. M. Aldred: vice-Dresidents. Messrs. Armitage, A. J. Lowe, J. Barriball. L. Dunn, A. B. Burt, J. Grimmond. J. D. Chalmers, P. J. Brcgman, W. Pleydell, H. King, F. Knight. G. Arklo. A. Hanna. and A. Nayiimith, Dr. Kowden and Rev. J. C. Fusaell; captain, Mr. A. Duthie: rice-cap-tain, Mr. J. M. Heiso: committee. Messrs. H. Wright, E. Hay. J. Hyland, T. Kennedy; secretary and treasurer. Mr. W. Smith; deieKates to Franklin Cricket Association. Mrasis. A. Duthie. W. Smith and J. Heise. »' Stens will be taken to enter two teams for ihe cup competition this season. The presentation of a ladies' handbag was made to Mrs. E. Hay, through Mr. Hav, as an expression of appreciation of her help in entertaining visitinc teams last season, NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. The annual report of the New Zealand Cricket Council states that the finances are in a satisfactory state, thero boinrj a casl; balance of £I6OO. Continuing, the report states that arrangements have been completed for the despatch of a New Zealand team to Australia, TJhe management committee is desirous of having a visit from the next Australian test team on its way to I England and negotiations are in progress.
