MISSING WAR BONDS.
CASE AGAINST YOUNG MAN. ADMISSION TO THE POLICE. FULL VALUE NOT RECOVERED. Following his arrest in Wellington last week on a charge of stealing ten war bonds last month, valued at £IOOO, the property of tho New Zealand Insurance Company, a young man, Walter Attridge Connell (Mr. Singer), appeared in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M. Chief Detective Cummings, in asking for a remand, said that accused was admitted to bail in Wellington. He admitted stealing the bonds over a limited period, but their full value had not been recovered. Accused • was remanded until next Thursday, bail being renewed at £2OO.
