BURGLARIES AT TE PUKE.
POLICE MAKE AN ARREST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TE PIJKE, Wednesday. Since the burglary at the Farmers' Trading Company's premises and railway station a few days ago, the police have been making active inquiries. On Sunday Detective Culloty, of the Hamilton police, and Constable Daly arrested a man giving the name of Chajles Strornberg. He was found occupying a farm shed on the Paengaroa-Maketu Road. He was brought before the local Court and a remand granted for a week.
