BROKEN GLASS ON ROADS.
RELICS OF MOTOR MISHAPS*
The danger of broken glass on roads was emphasised by a motorist who wrote to the council of the Auckland Automobile Association last evening. "To-day,* 4 he said, "I saw a burnt car being towed down Dominion Road, and coming along some time later I found the road foi- the best part of a quarter-of-a-rnile strewn with glass from the broken wind-screen. May I suggest that yon impress upon your members and motorists generally tha great favour they would bestow upon others if, before removing a burned or damaged car, they would see that all broken glass is removed. This might lessen cut tyres and punctures, and no doubt cross words too, for there is nothing to gain by paper-chasing glass m.iybe for miles." It was decided to refer tha matter to the traffic officers of the City Council.
