Tho Hungarian champion swimmer, De Barany, won the English 100 yards championship in 55 4-ss. Tho holder, C. Henry, of Australia, did not compoto. DUTCH BOXER DISQUALIFIED. RING AWARDED THE VERDICT. (Received 8.5 p.m.) Router. LONDON. Aug. 10. In a 15-round boxing contest Ring beat Van Thof (Holland), who was disqualified in the seventh round for hitting low. WEISMULLEE'S FEAT. HUNDRED YARDS' RECORD. (Received 1.5 a.m.) Reuter. SAN FRANCISCO. Aug. 11. Johnny Weismullor to-day-established a new world's record by swimming 100 yds. in 525. This is l-ss. better than his former record. A recent cablegram stated that Weismuller had swum the 100 yds. in 50 2-ss. The present message makes it clear that the time should liar* been given as 52 l-ss.
