SKIN WOOL CASE.
APPEAL BY PLAINTIFFS. HEARING COMMENCED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Rocd. 1.5 a.m.) MELBOURNE. Aug. 11. Tho Stato Full Court has commenced tho hearing of tho appeal of Frederick Bardslev, Ivreglinger and Fernau, Limited, and the W. Angliss Company Proprietary, Limited, against tho judgment in the caso in which they proceeded against tho Commonwealth Government in connection with the Government's skin wool profits
Plaintiffs in the case referred to claimed £1,000,000 from tho Commonwealth Government, the Central Wool Committee and the Bawra, with Sir John Higgins as the person who held tho moneys in trust. Plaintiffs claimed the right to participate iu tho profits arising out of the British Government's wool realisation schemo during the Inst two years of the scheme's operation, so far as wool skins wore concerned. The Court gavo judgment for the defendants. Judgment was also given for defendants in the case in which Messrs. Wilcox, Mofflin. Crompton and Sons and others, claimed £200,000 from the same defendants with the exception of Sir John Higgins. Plaintiffs in _ this case claimed tho right to participate in the profits arising out of the charge of gd per lb. on sheepskins handled by the Central Wool Committee during tho term of tho Imperial wool purchase scheme.
