LOST PEARLS FOUND.
LODGED IN WATER PIPE. MISSING SEVEN MONTHS. A. and N.Z. PARIS. Aug. 10. A strange discovery was made, by workmen in a waterpipo in a Paris hotel. They unearthed a string of valuable pearls belonging to Miss Biddy Tallis, daughter of Sir George Tallis, of Melbourne. Tho pearls were lost seven months ago and were unsuccessfully searched for at the time. It is now thought they were placed on a ledge and swept down into tho wasto pipe. Miss Tallis is at present in Australia.
