SUBURBAN DESTRUCTOR.
MT. ROSKILL UNFAVOURABLE
Tho erection of a destructor for tho combined districts of One Tree Hill, Ellerslie, Onehunga and Mount Roskill was discussed at a conference at Onehunga this week. Reporting to Ul9 Mount Roskill Road Board last evening tho chairman Mr. G. Tansley, said no representative of One Tree Ilill appeared, but the others considered tho scheme suggested by Onehunga—the erection of tho destructor to cost £15,000 and the maintenance £6OO a year. Ho submitted the opinion of his beard, that it was not yc-t prepared to join in a scheme of that magnitude and cost, as tho existing arrangements were sufficient for tho present. The Ellerslie representatives were much of the same opinion. Mr. Tansley said ho did not think anything would come cf the matter at present.
