MOSCOVITCH SEASON.
" THE MERCHANT OF VENICE."
"The Great Lover," which is being played by the Maurice Moscovitch Company at ilis Majesty's Theatre, continues to attract large houses. On Saturday evening " The Merchant of Venice" will be staged. Mr. Moscovitch's new interpretation of Shylock created a marked impression on London. In six countries in Europe, where he played it in as many languages, it was conceded that no greater performance of the role had ever been given. The whole production will be presented on a complete and- elaborate scale. It will, it is said, appeal by its power, its beauty and its novelty, not only to the Shakespearean enthusiast, but to every patron of the theatre. This famous actor's portrait, as Shylock, was painted by the Polish artist, Pillchowski, and hung at the Royal Academy, London. It wbs subsequently purchased by the Dutch Government for the National Gallery at tho Hague, being considered the representative Shylock. A feature' of the production will be the staging and lighting. Box plans are at Messrs. Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd.
