NORTH POLE FLIGHT.
FURTHER ATTEMPT LIKELY ELLSWORTH IN NEW YORK. Australian and Hs.Z- Cable Association. CRectL 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK:, Aug. 1, Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth, who accompanied Captain Roald Amundsen on the Arctic flight, returned to New York today. He stated that another flight to the North Pole wonld be attempted. "We look upon the last attempt as merely preliminary," said Mr. Ellsworth, bnt no definite plans have been made for the future. The aeroplanes used in the recent flight were not entirely satisfactory. A dirigible would be more feasible but tho expense would be gerat."
