The Football Association has decided by a large majority to amend the "offsido ' rule to allow a player to be "on side" should he receive the ball with only two instead of three opponents between him and the objective goal.

The report of the Australian Lawn Tennis Association for the year ended March 31 shows that the association's participation in the Davis Cup contests in 1924 involved the loss of £I4BO. This was the result of heavy expenses and disappointing receipts from matches. The financial statement of the Australasian Association shows an excess of assets over liabilities of £5605, after omitting £239 standing to the account of the Anthony Wilding Memorial account and moneys paid on account of 1925 Davis Cup expenses.
