MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Rising Sun.—lll the No. 1 south block. No. 1 reef, sloping has been carried on with good results. The lode gives an average width of 24in., worth £T 10s a too. Filling ar.d timbering is being carried but in the south section of the block, while or<p is being won from the north section. Tonnage broken during the week was 10 tons. In the No. I south block, No 3 reef, stopmg is being' oarried on, and a large tonnage o£ ore is coming to hand. The average width of the lode in 30in., although at some points it widens out tc 48in. Values in this block at present run to about £2 a ton. Tonnage broken, during the week is 25 tons. The ore in the lattery bins ia 25 tons, and the ore in the mine is 12 tons. I 1 or the week ended June 3, the stamps ran 18.24 hours, crushing' approximately 18 tons of ore, worth £5 12s a ton. We recovered from plates and berdan, 80oz. of umalgarn, the total on hand being 198oz. . Albumia.—The clear space met . with in the level has boon cleaned up. repaired, and the road laid. The level has now been cleaned out for 040 ft., and rails ]*** d to the face. The country rock on the sides of the level looks fairly promising for gold, but tho intention is to clean the level up until it. reaches tho Orlando reef. Kuranui.—The ventilating tunnel lias been extended 10ft. and is now m a total distance of 25ft. Owing to the country being of a loose nnture it has been necessary to put in timber to secure tlje tunnel so far, but firmer rock is now showing m the face, , consequently better progress will be made in tho future. At the low- level the driv> on the leader in tho footwull of tho reef is now in Oft. This leader is about 6m. in width, and gives good prospects of loose gold in the dish.
