OBITUARY.
MR. G. A. HERON. The death of Mr. George Andrew Heron, of Bell Road, Remuera, ,has ramoved another of the fast-diminishing band of old colonists. Mr. Heron was the eldest son of the laic Mr; George Heron, (if Remucra. He came to Auckland with his mother in the ship African about 65 years ago, his father having arrived two. years previously. Mr. Heron followed the occupation of builder and contractor. Just before his death ho attended a reunion of old colonists. He is . survived by his wife, two sons and four grandchildren. MR. W. F. HARROP. A . promineni and ■ highly-esteemed Auckland business man, Mr. W. F. Harrop, died yesterday at ..his. residence, No. 2, Corunna Avenue, Parnell. Mr. Harrop was head of the finn of Messrs. Harrop and Medley, land and estate agents, and for a number of years held the office of president of the Resil Estate Institute of New Zealand. He was aged 56! Mr. Harrop was of a very kindly nature and was an active worker in tho cause of religion. He was a widower, his wife having b«en a victim of the influenza epidemic in 1918. Deceased is survived by a son and two daughters. MRS. WILLIAM TUCKER. ' - [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday. After having lived continuously in tha Pukerimu district for, upwards of ,52 years, Mrs. William Tucker died flit her residence on Monday at the age. of : 82 years. Born in Cornwall, Mrs. Tucker came to New Zealand in the ship St. Helena 56 years , ago, joining her brother in Canterbury. She was married in St. Matthew's Church, Auckland, and. with her husband came to Pukerimu, where she was prominent among the. small band of early settlers that did the pioneering of this now smiling locality.. Mr. Tucker died eight years ago. 'lhero are three sons and three daughters, Mr. William Tucker,, of Te Puke, Messrs. Henry and John Tucker, of Leamington, Mrs. Peppercorn, Leamington, Mrs. Holliver, Tokomani Bay, and Mrs. W. Morse, Leamington. The grandchildren number 15.
