MAY TOTAL OF £176,284. FALLING OFF FOR MONTH. FIVE MONTHS' INCREASE. Tho net customs duties collected in Auckland during the month of May showed a considerable falling off compared with those for tho preceding month. They totalled £176,284, which represents a decrease of £41,230 on.the collections for the month of April and a decrease of £9232 011 those of May, 1924. Tho total net customs duties collected during tho first five months of this year amounted to £968,528, as against £895,690, during the corresponding four months of 1924, an increase of £72,838.
