RUN DOWN BY MOTOR.
TWO WOMEN INJURED. ONE LOSES HER LEFT LEG. CRUSHED AGAINST TROUGH. [BY telegraph, ---press association.] DUNEDIN, Sunday. A serious motor accident occurred at Mornington yesterday, afternoon, when two women, Agnes McLean, aged 26 and single, and Peggy Mabon, single, were run down in Elgin Road by a motorear carrying two men. The victims of this sudden accident were crushed by the car against a water trough. t Miss McLean was t.'sken to the hospital with a compound fracture of (ho left leg, which it was found necessary to amputate. She was suffering from severe lacerations and other minor injuries as well. Her companion, Miss Mabon, has injuries to her back and is suffering from shock.
