MAINTENANCE DEFAULTER. SIX MONTHS IN PRISON. A variety of cases were dealt, with in the Police Court before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., on Saturday, Arrears of £176 on a maintenance order in respect to his children were admitted by Edward J. McClintock. Accused said the order of £2 a week was excessive. Inquiries regarding accused's character were proceeding. A remand was granted until to-morrow.
