Pukohuia (11. Tinker) and Betty Bruce (E. Nixon) set out together to jump four hurdles but tho latter fell at the third fe.ice. Siio wu* remounted and completed the task. Pukehuia jumped fairly well. Walls) jumped six hurdles. He did not fence as well as usual. j Irish Jig (W.-Ronnie) Mid Te Tahi (J. Preston) gave a good exhibition over four hnrdles.—They went fait and fenced cleanly. Panache (B. Barrow) began with, them but fell heavily at the first fence. Ho afterwards jumped two hurdles boldly. Freshman (E. Warner) and' Miss Rosa (T. Chaplin) cleared two hurdles cleanly, afterwards doing strong work on the grass. Knighthood (T. Chaplin) led Butcher (J. Preston) and Aircraft (E. Stanway) over font* hurdles. Tho two first-named went welt. STEEPLECHASE COURSE. Llewellyn (T. Chaplin) led Master Peter (H. McSWeenoy), Vociferato (W. Puncheon) and Manihora ID. McMullan) over a round of the nteeplcchar.e fences. Llewllyn pave his usual dashing .display and Master Peter .also fenced well. The othyi pair mado no mistakes. Golden Glint (T. Collins) commenced with them and only reached the second fence, coining down at the waterjump. . OTHER TRACKS. Archibald.
