FROM LONELY PITCAIRN.
—————«e* —- LADY'S DESIRE FOR MUSIG* An interesting and curious letter from lonely Pitcairn Island was received lately by a Wellington music firm. It suggests the isolation of the inhabitants of that far-off Pacific isle, and the widespread circulation of New Zealand newspapers. The letter says: " I saw your address on one of the New Zealand papers, and I thought you would like to get a few linns from our lonely island, away out in the Pacific. I hope my letter will bo very much appreciated by you aIL I am writing these lines to see if you have any music which will be very much, appreciated by all on the island. If you hav® any, please let roe know as soon as possible and I will forward you the money. Please if it is not too much to send mo a catalogue of gramophones and records. I will now close witli love aDd all good wishes from Pitcairn." Although the lady's request was rather indefinite, says a Wellington paper, she will be the recipient of something that will give her satisfaction.
