The son of Absurd —Finery might pick up a race at Ellcrs'ie if the going is firm. _He is a long-striding sort, and this handicapped him on tho heavy track at Wanganui. Omaliu is booked for another trip to Ellerslie. The son of Maniapoto has como on well, and it would not tic surprising to see the sou of Maniapoto win a race at the 1 A.R.C. Winter Meeting. In view of (he fact, that I'assin' Throngh's preparation was interfered with owing to nn injury, he must, be given credit for running a good race in the_ big steeplechase at I Wi'/ngariui.
