POWER LINES AND FENCES
PRECAUTION FOR SAFETY. FARMERS ADVISED TO "EARTH." [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COJVR.ESTONDENT. ] • HAMILTON Tuesday. Property owners whoso lands are crossed by electric power lines, or along whose boundaries such lines run, were given some advice by the chairman of the Te Awamutu Power Board to-day when he mentioned that consequent upon the recent fatality at Te Roro several owners had expressed concern at the danger. He said that if farmers would twist a piece of galvanised wire from the top wire of the fence connecting with each wire in turn and being finnlyeartlied with a piece of galvanised pipe driven into the ground the possibility of danger would be eliminated. Tho precaution should be taken on every section of fence, that is between all strainer posts or gates.
