POSTAL FACILITIES.
EDENDALE'S EXPANSION. LC/CAL OFFICE PROVIDED. On account of the increasing population of Edehdale it has been found necessary by the Post and Telegraph Department to give residents those facilities enjoyed by the, other suburbs. A local post office has been installed in Carrie's Buildings, on tho main Edendale Road, at the tram terminus, and opposite Calgary Street. The department has also acquired the old pound site, beyond the terminus, and also on tho Edendale Road, but the chief postmaster, Mr. W. ,T. Gow, stated yesterday that it was not intended to proceed with the erection of a special building in tho meantime. The facilities nowoffered should be adequate for a number of years.
