TRAGEDY OFF BRITTANY. LIFEBOAT CREWS PERISH. FISHING SMACKS WRECKED. Bv Telegraph—Press Association—Copyricht. (Received E. 5 p.m.) Keuldt. ' PARIS. May 21. A tragic talo of tlio soa is reported from Brittany. Two lifeboats left Penmarch, Finistere, in order to help two fishing smacks which wore in distress. Mountainous waves capsized tho lifeboats and several members of tho crews, who were lashed to the seats, were drowned. Others were killed by being hurled against the rocks. Only one of the 16 men in tho boats survived. Both tho fishinc smacks were lost, but another lifeboat saved seven of their crews. TURKISH SHIP SINKS. FORTY-FOUR LIVES LOST. STORM ON THE DOSPHORUS. Router. CONSTANTINOPLE. May 21. The Turkish coastal steamer Heraklia foundered in a storm at the entrance to tho Bosphorus. Forty-four of the passengers and crew were drowned.
