KREISLER RECITALS.
The general box plans for the three Kreisler concerts to be given in the 'lowri Hall on June 2, 4 and 6 will open at Messrs. Lewis R. Eady and Son. Ltd., to-morrow morning. Of Kreisler's first recital Jn Sydney a critic wrote: —"From the moment tho Handel Sonata, filled with a flowering peace, flowed out into the Sydney Town Hall the audience sat entranced by Kreisler and his magic Guarnerius. It is not only that the quality of his music is mollow and rich in song, or that it flashes through intricate and brilliant passagos with the grace and dancing lightness of sunbeams._ He brings an intense sensitiveness to his interpretations and nowhere was this more notable than in the Bach Suite in E major. It was the Mendelssohn Concerto that was tho triumph of the evenihg. There was a rapture, a pearl-like lustre about the Andante movement that stirred tho -audience to an unbelievable emotional pitch. As the last passage of the concerto died away applause roared through the hall like a hurricane. The "second and more familiar part of the programme included Kreisler's own 'Tambouriii Chinois' and 'Caprice Viennois.' The caprice of Kreisler's bow suggested Sydney wrapped in the blue hu/.e of early evening seen from Bradley's Head."
