TOUR OF THE ALL BLACKS.
AN EXHIBITION GAME. NORTH BEATS THE SOUTH. PRESENTATION TO THE TEAM. By Telegraph—Press Association.— Copyright. (Received 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. VANCOUVER. Feb. 21. The All Blacks played an exhibition match here to-day, the North Island members of the team beating the South Island by 25 points to 14. The North Island scored seven, tries, two of which were converted. The South Island scored four tries, one being converted. Vancouver supplied seven players in order to complete the teams. The ground was muddy and slippery. There were 4000 spectators. The teams which took the field were as follow North Island.—Nepia, Svenson, Barry, Lucas, Leroy, Cooke, Mill, Porter, Donald, Clark, Harvey, M. Brownlie, C. Brownlie, West and Cupples. South Island.—B. Rowan, Robilliard, Brown, Steel, Nicholls, M. Rowan, Dailey, White, Munro, McCleary, Masters, Stewart, Choatc, Clarke and Thornton. Cooke had his shoulder hurt in a scrimmage. Donald and Mill were the first to score, Cooke and Nepia converting. Then Munro, Nicholls and Donald scored. Robilliard scored from an opening by Dalley. Donald and Nicholls converted. In the second half Svenson and Donald scored and M. Brownlie was awarded a penalty try for interference. Lucas was the last to score. Before the game a presentation was made to the team of a souvenir silver cup, with souvenirs for each member of the team, subscribed by the public in small sums. The sum thus raised amounted to £l4O. The All Blacks leave to-night to cmbark at San Francisco. METHODS OF THE TEAM. AN ARTICLE BY NICHOLLS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.5 p.m.) LONDON. Feb. 21. An article by Mark Nicholls explaining the All Blacks' strategy has been distributed free to Rugby clubs and schools in order that the lessons of the tour may not be lost. The New Zealand Rugby Union has received advice from Vancouver that, after a consultation with a specialist, It has been decided that Richardson, who broke a leg in a practice match, will return with the team.
