FALL FROM A TRAIN.

BUSHFELLER ON PLATFORM. NEWS VENDOR GIVES ALARM. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MATAMATA. Friday A bushfeller who was a passenger on the Rotorua, express yesterday fell from a carriage platform while the train was rounding the bend near Taumangi. A newsvendor saw the occurrence and hastened through the carriages to the van and informed the guard, who immediately brought the train to a standstill. The express was shunted back to the spot, and there the man was found lying, but apparently uninjured. He was looked after by Constable Hecps, of Matamata, and sent- on to his home.
