LAKE CHAD MISSION.
AEROPLANE FATALITY. ONE KILLED, THREE INJURED. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Renter. CAPETOWN. Feb. 11. The Governor-General of French West Africa has communicated by telegram with Colonel Degoys, from Niamey, on the River Niger, stating that Colonel Vuillemin's aeroplane, which was engaged on the mission to Lake Chad,, Central Sudan, crashed after leaving Niamey. Sergeant Vandello was killed and Colonel Vuillcmin and two other members of the party were injured.
