A fine paddock of ryegrass and red clover is to be seen in field 16 at the Ruakura Experimental Farm just. now. The field was sown in March, 1824, and was cut for bay in December of tho same year. An excellent crop was produced, and the paddock was again shut up. Tho grass is now well over a hot in height, and is in splendid heart. A second crop of hay is now ready for cutting, and harvesting will take place in a few days.
