INTERESTS OF SOLDIERS.
MANGATEPARU SETTLERS. (BT TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT-3 HAMILTON. Wednesdayi The executive o! the Hamilton branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association met last evening, the president, Mr. Noel Johnson, presiding. The chairman reported that while in Wellington he had interviewed the chair* man of the Dominion Revaluation Board in connection with the Mangateparu soldiers' settlement at Morrinsville, and that certain further concessions in regard to rent had been made, and a promise give® that the board would reconsider the cases. A complaint was received that the defence Department did not employ returned soldier taxi-drivers. It was decided to write to the local office in regard to thj ,j question. '.Sigi;
