THE PAPAROA STATION, COMPLETION OF BUILDINGS..} [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAPAROA, "Wednesday. The erection of the Paparoa railway station has been completed. The station is next to that at Waiotira in size, on the Huarau-Portland section of the rail* way. The station comprises five rooms, including stationmaster's office, ladies* and men's waiting rooms and storeroom, with a substantial goodshed and stock, loading platform. The approach roads are finished and metalled. The station-, master's house is also finished, and foundations have been laid . for a largo tan's for the engine. The road contractors are now pushing on vigorously with the metalling of tha main road from the station to the Paparoa township. This road proceeds down a pleasant, valley skirting the Paparoa stream, and on one of the finest grades in the north, to the township. It will bo an attractive route for motorists, who will be glad to avoid heavy grades on tha road to the Hud ran and Maungaf urota stations. The metalling contract how nearing completion gives an unhrokea stretch of metalled road from through Matakohe westward to tbs Northern Wairoa district.
