INSURANCE PROMOTIONS.
THE NEW ZEALAND COMPANY. Several transfers and promotions in the staff of the New Zealand Insurance Company are announced. Mr. David J. ■ Bern, who has controlled the Wellington branch since 1918, will retire in accordance with the superannuation regulations of the company on March 31. The position will be filled by Mr. Noel Nelson, at present managing the Duncdin branch. Mr. Nelson lias held various positions in the company, and for a period of years was in foreign offices at Japan and Singapore. He went fo Wangancd from Singapore, thence to Dunedin. Mr. B. S. Bree, assistant manager in Wellington, will take over the management of the Gisborne branch early next month, and Mr. H. Clay, manager in Gisborne, will become assistant manager in Auckland. In the meantime the position of assistant manager ia Wellington will not be filled.
