INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
DOMINION BULLETIN. TWO DAYS' NOTIFICATIONS: TOTAL OF 230 CASES. [bv Tn.i:ca.\nr.—-own correspondent.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. Tho Director-General .of Health, Dr. T. 11. A. Valintirie, stated this evening that no fresh cases of infantile paralysis had been reported since 9 a.m. to day, and that there' had been none in the Wellington City ar» since Tuesday. The outbreak, he said, seemed to have extended northward. Thirty cases <:? infantile paralysis have been reported : to the head'office of. tho Department of Health during the 48 hours to 9 a.m. to-day. This makes a total of 230 cases, of which 170 have occurred in the Wellington health district and 58 in the Auckland health district. The bulletin issued yesterday morning contained the following notifications: — Wellington health district: City, 1; Eastbourne, 2; Upper Hutfc) 2; Mau.riceville, I; Feilding, 1; Wanganui, 7. Auckland health district: City, 1; One Tree Hill, 1; Ellershe, 1; Huntly, 1; Whangarei, 1. The cases notified up to 9 a.m. to-day were: Ngaio, Dannevirke, and Wanganui, one each; Auckland, two; Mount Eden, Otahuhu, Waiuku, and Hamilton, one each. Christchnrch notified another case and Blenheim reported one case.
