AUSTRALIA'S WOOL CLIP.
VALm= EASILY A RECOTiD. CHEQUE FOR ABOUT £84.000,000. A. and N.ZI SYDNEY. Dec. 20. The Morning Herald, referring to the present high values of wool, says that wool sold in Sydney to the end of the first half of the current season totalled 300,000 bales, estimated to be worth £14,400,000. In the second half of the season 415,000 bales will be offered, at an estimated value of £16,600,000, making a record for New South Wales.
For Australia as a whole the estimated year's clip is about 2,100,000 bales, which at the selling price of about £40 per bale, will yield £84,000,000, thus far exceeding the value of any previous clip.
