Napliind and/Kean John were associated in a, wcrk out at Aldington this week, prior to being shipped to race at the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting. Both horses shaped well It is to he hoped that the ill luck that lias attended Napland in the past is now at. an end. and that this fine young trotter will dm able to show his best form in the north.

The mishap which occurred to the pacer Realm, while ccrapetiu* in the Beach Handicap at Aew Brighton on Saturday, has proved to be ,=o serious flint his trip to Auckland has been cancelled. He will require a few weeks' spell.

The Eowe Handicap candidate Petmvah arrived from Gisborne by the Arahura yesterday.
