OCEAN YACHT RACES.

TAURANGA AND RUSSELL. The following entries have been received for the ocean race from Auckland to 'Cauranga, which will sart at 7.15 p.m. on Wednesday:—lorangi, Rawene, Waitangi, Rangi, Ida, Moana. Wairiki, Prize; and Queenie. For the race from Auckland to Russell, which will also start on Wednesday, at 7.30 p.m., the entries are:— ' . Keel Yachts.—Lady Sterling. Hex. Delville, Ngahau, Kotiri, Heartsease and Speedwell. Mullet Boats.— Starlight, Marere, Waitere 11., Doreen, Kokiri, Celox, Valkyrie, Spray, Marie. Waiapu, Ngaru 11., and Awatere. RACES AT TAURANGA. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] TAURANGA. Saturday. The Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club continued its season's racing this afternoon in fine weather. The results were as follows :—■ Second-class Yachts. —H. Barton's Silver Link, 1: A. Leslie's Sea Love, 2; P. Noileon's Charm. 8. Six started. Third-claSs Yachts.—P. Carter's Scout. 1; J. Dale's Petrel, 2: T.-Playfair's Tui. 3. Fourth-class Yachts.—E. Gilbert's Mistral, 1; K. Gambia's 1.X.L., 2; G. Carter's Speedwell, 3. Nine started. This race was sailed by boys and provided tho best contest of the afternoon. The Tauranga Rowing Club held its trial fours for the Challenge Buttons presented by Messrs. P. F. Carter and C. Tonkin. In the first heat Workman's crew defeated Mason's crew. The final was won by Workman's crew„ who beat Cambie's crew. The winning crew were: N. Workman (stroke). R. Neal, F. Munro, H. Hammond. G. Collard (cox).
