THE COURTS' COMPETITfON.

DECISIONS OF COMMITTEE. Commit meetit ' S ° f U,e Disldct Committee in connection with the Auckland Wmter Show, conditions for the courts competition at the 1925 show were revised. Immediately after this year's show representatives of the Various districts courts met the executive of the show and made certain recommendations for future contests. These recommendations have now been practically all adopted. The District Courts' Competition will be open to any district in the province of Auckland and will consist of a collection of agricultural and pastoral exhibits, together with natural products and manuac ured articles. A space of 30ft. bv 12ft will be allotted to each court, and ' all frontages will be straight line ones to plnce opportunities for display on .an " 5 equitable basis. The committee decided to give the sum of £35 to each court to encourage' repre-' sentative exhibits from every part of the province. The money is to be 'used to pay the rail and shipping freight of exlubits to and from the show, and to provide free timber for the stands, and free space for the courts. In addition to this J the court gaming first prize will be' . awarded £20 and a silver sliield valued at M guineas The second prize will be £15 and the third £10.
