PITT STREET CHURCH.
A PASTOR FROM ENGLAND.
Arrangoments have been made with the Rev. Leonard B. Dalby, of the Kentish Town Wasleyan Circuit, England, to take up the charge of the Pitt Street Methodist Church toward the end of next year.
The Rev. W. A. Sinclair, secretary for Foreign Missions of the New Zealand Methodist Church, who has been visiting England, was commissioned to arrange for a minister to take charge of the Pitt Street Church and the selection of Mr. Dalby is the result. The latter is an outstanding preacher of his church, is described as strongly evangelical, original and a man whose acceptance of the pastorate would do much, not only to help the Methodist Church in Auckland, but to advance all matters of interest in connection with the Christian Church of the city. Mr. Dalby cables that ho has booked passages by the Remuera leaving South ampton on October 8 next, so ihat his arrival is anticipated in Novembor. Mr. Sinclair is expected to return to Auckland in January.
