LEAMINGTON TOWNSHIP.

RATEPAYERS DISSATISFIED. AN ASSOCIATION FORMED. [BX TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CAMBRIDGE. Saturday. A largely-attended .meeting of ratepayers, of the Leamington Town District met to discuss matters relative to the board's action in closing certain side streets for agricultural purposes. A resolution was unanimously carried that, in the opinion of the meeting tho time had arrived when it was desirable that an association be formed in the district, and that the association be known as the Leamington Ratepayers and Citizens' Association. Mr. St. John was elected president, and Mr. H. A. McKinnon secretary. From tho discussion that took place it was apparent that there was a strong underlying feeling throughout the district that the board's attitude was inimical to tho interests of the ratepayer and progress of tho township, which was likely to create discontent.
