DRUNKEN MOTOR- DRIVER.
COLLISION AT HIGH SPEED. HARD LABOUR FOR A MONTH. [bx telegraph.—press association-.] INVERCARGILL Friday. A young roan, named Robert Hugh Dixon, was charged with speeding, with failing to stop when requested, and being drunk in charge of a motor-car. Evidence was given for the- prosecution that accused was drunk, and that he travelled at 35 miles an hour and collided with another car, doing serious damage. The magistrate said it. was a very bad case, and sentenced Dixon to a month's hard labour.
