MANAWATU CHANGE-OVER.
MANGAHAO POWER IN USE.
ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT HITCH.

The switch-over of Mangahao power from the Palmcrston North borough plant to tho Manawatu-Oroua Power Board was accomplished during milking operations this evening and so complete were the arrangements made by the chief engineer, Mr. W. A Waters, that no difference was noticeable in the momentum of the motors, while all that could be observed in tho lights was a, slight flicker. The final test of the lino from Mangahao to the Bunnythorpe sub-station was made this afternoon, and shortly after four o'clock the turbine was started up Tho current was switched from the Palmerston North power plant to the head works at 5.27 p.m. The change over to the Feilding section was accomplished at midnight. _______________
