MAORI REUNION.
GATHERING AT RATANA. RIVER VILLAGES DESERTED. , [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN rORRKSPOVOEST. 1 WANGANCI. Friday. In anticipation of the Maori re-union to be held at Rat-ana at Christmas, a largo number of natives have arrived in Wanganui and arc making their presence felt among tho shopkeepers. The river steamers have been crowded with Maoris coming into town. The pas for miles up the river have been deserted, and are likely to remain so for several weeks.
