PRESENTATIONS.
The presentation of a leather suitcase was made to Mrs. Burns, mistress of the Mangere East School, at a Sunday. Bchool concert held in the public hall. . The presentation was made on behalf of the parents and children by Mr. J. Clark, who said that residents greatly appreciated the kindly interest Mrs. Burns had. taken in the children. The weekly picture programmes which have been screened at; the Auckland Infirmary by Master Stewart Eastgate, son of the house manager, have been, a source of much pleasure to the old folk at the institution, who, in token of their appreciation, yesterday presented the young operator with a handsome suitcase. ..In making the presentation, Mr. Paisley, one of the inmates, epoke of the eagerness with which all at the infirmary-had looked forward each week to the picture show. They had taken the greatest pleasure in contributing to the- presentation, and were very grateful for the interest taken in their welfare. Master Eastgate suitably replied. A special holiday programme wa» screened at the conclusion of the presentation. , ..
