CAMPAIGN FOR FUNDS.
A campaign for the improvement of the Devon port Domain has been planned as Iho result of a combined meeting of the I members of the Devonport. Domain Board i and representatives of the North Shore sporting bodies. It is proposed to pro. mojto tlio campaign between the New j Year and Easter and the general commit- j tee appointed will consider the holding "■ j carnivals at Cheltenham Beach. the Domain. Calliope Dock. Takapuna racecourse. \\ indsor Reserve, Marine Square , nud Main Street. Sub committees are to deal with the ques- j tions of finance, art unions and entertain- | ments. and the Borough Conned has j granted permission to have booths erected j on Cheltenham Beach during tl:n holidays, j tho fees to be devoted to the fund.
