The Tauranga girl guides will go into camp for ten days early in the new year. Tliev held a bazaar en Saturday, and a concert last evening resulted in the raising of £40 toward the camp funds. The pupils of the Matingaiapu school | have taken up home garden work with enthusiasm. I'lizps were awarded fur the three best gardens. The plots v.ere examined by Mr. It. E. McK innoii. agricultural instrui*or under the Auckland Education Board, who spoke very highly «.f the work done. Mr. McKiunou has inspected almost 250 gardens in the Bay of I Plenty district..
